Channeling the Trees
Over the last 9 months since moving to the woods, I have been receiving new forms of communication with growing in intensity.
Me on my tree in the Forest.
Several weeks ago I signed up for mediumship training with Shannon Torrence of the podcast, Magic Is Real. I’d been gifted a session with Shannon in 2023 by my beloved Ali, her sister, to connect with my Dad and Mary, 2 beautiful beings who had died way too soon a few years before. The experience was profound and undeniable, but when it was over I wrapped it in beautiful ribbons and stuck it up high on the shelf.
But some presents have a way of giving themselves again. Over the last 9 months since moving to the woods, I have been receiving new forms of communication with growing in intensity. Sometimes the voices are familiar, others have wisdom and knowledge and perspective and memory far greater than my own. At first the voices felt so fast and tangled, I worried about my sanity, grasping for the lines between mental illness, addiction, and spiritual emergency. It’s coming too fast, I can’t keep up, I don’t know what is happening! But I am beginning to receive an ever deepening understanding.
I was given a system of handwriting, typing, and voice transcribing to catch the words coming in at each of their own specific frequencies. Spells, prayer, and meditation travel directly from the root of the earth, through our hearts and our hands onto the page with pen. Information to ingest and understand is carried through the air into the computer through the keyboard. And then there are some channeled messages that can only be spoken, written directly with the voice to transcription.
I had my first intentional channeling experience at Forest Facilitator Training with Darlene Rollins in Fredericksburg’s Rappahannock River Basin over the weekend. I nestled into the roots of a sprawling tree in the lush green forest on the roaring creek and listened. The Council of the Trees received me. I wrote and wrote and wrote their messages and I haven’t stopped writing since. Trees are everywhere I go. They have always been with me.
When I sat down to text Shannon a few of the unbelievably wild things that had been happening since Mediumship Class 1, I saw our last text exchange from 2023. I’d sent Shannon one of my books, Surrender Your Weapons, and she’d screenshotted Trust What Comes, an excerpt from my rules for writing. It’s the same as mediumship, she’d texted. Wow yes, I’d replied but I was not yet ready to take it in.
But now I’m receiving a deeper understanding of what’s been happening all along. If we become clear channels, empty vessels, hollow bones, if we trust what comes, we can tune into the frequency of Spirit. This is what we artists and writers, those of us who look, trust, and listen, are always doing.
I've just now been able to rise up high enough to see it more clearly, with help from very Wise Women and the Trees.
Pssssst!! Things are changing over here.
A few months ago I introduced you to the Business Witch, Lora Campbell and Business Magician Lauren Boonzaier. Well we are lighting all kinds of fires over and I can’t WAIT to share them with you.
